August 4, 2:00 Parhelion Ensemble - New on the scene, including Merit-Scholars from CSMA, these kids really rock! An eclectic group (trumpet, flute, violin, keyboard, percussion) leaning primarily towards jazz, they span a wide variety of genres including swing, latin, classical, funk, pop, rock, fusion, (post)-bop, and free jazz - all a with a strong contemporary and experimental bent.
August 11, 2:00 Small Town Therapy - Local Grammy-nominated guitarist, Adam Roszkiewicz and violinist, Lief Karlstrom bring their innovative new jazz/rock/country music on guitar, violin, and mandolin to the gardens. Maybe they will play Lief's new Cats,Dogs and Tambourines!
August 18, 2:00 Mo-Chi Quartet - Led by trumpet/flugelhorn artist, John Worley, this quartet features a blend of jazz fused with original compositions by Mo-Chi members, traditional Japanese folk melodies and blues.
August 25, 2:00 Trio Organica -This Debussy trio instrumentation (flute, viola, and harp) brings a fresh sound to the classical repertoire along with a jazz tribute to Dave Brubeck.
Fine art by local artists including works in watercolor and oil as well as photography and collage will be featured during the month-long show in the House. Viewing hours are 11:00-5:00 on Tuesday, Wednesday and Sunday. Meet the artists at a Reception in the house on August 1, 5:00-7:00. The festival runs July 31 through September 1.
